Have you checked your crawlspace lately?

Not all home repairs and improvements require a professional contractor. Here are some easy DIY home repair hacks we've collected from the front line. Check them out and maybe tackle some of those projects on your own. Otherwise, call PM&R by Alert Construction. We're always happy to do the tackling for you.

You might want to call a dry wall contractor if you have a big hole in your wall, but if all you've got are some ugly nail or screw holes, try grabbing a crayon in a color matching your wall or trim.

If you've got drywall on the other side of your tub or shower, an access panel is an upgrade that is both practical and inexpensive. You can probably DIY it for next to nothing or for a couple of hundred bucks or you can call PM&R by Alert and let us to do the honors.

We just installed this panel in Summerfield.

The homeowner had a shower leak in a different bathroom that resulted in thousands of dollars in damage. We installed panels in all their bathrooms so that moving forward, they've have ready access. Now they can tackle any leaks or other plumbing issues head on without tearing up any part of their home.

Soon, the City of Greensboro will be accepting applications for Home Repair GSO, the grant program approved by the City Council in November of 2022. The program was created to address the needs of low-income Greensboro homeowners. The city has been working on developing the program and the application progress since the program's approval on November 15th, 2022. The program will specifically address major system failures, dangerous housing conditions and provide other services to approved low income homeowners.
